There are lots of opportunities to learn at Homestead Craft Village. Visit our craft shops and talk to our craftsmen, or take classes offered through Ploughshare.
The Ploughshare Institute for Sustainable Culture is located on the Homestead Craft Village campus. Ploughshare offers more than 120 different courses on fine craft skills, such as wood furniture making, blacksmithing, pottery, weaving, spinning, knitting and basketmaking. Ploughshare also offers a range of kitchen skills courses which range from canning and preserving of food to soapmaking. To help you gain the skills needed to develop a family homestead, Ploughshare offers classes on gardening, homesteading, raising poultry and other livestock and more.
