For those interested in traditional woodworking and fine furniture, the woodworking shop at Homestead Craft Village is a treasure. Stop in and watch as award winning instructors teach students from all corners of the country, the lost skills of hand-tool woodworking. You’ll see students who came with little or no experience, leave satisfied and inspired, with their completed heirloom quality projects in hand.
On days when classes are not in session, you’ll be able to watch the very same instructors crafting various custom pieces of furniture that have been commissioned. Feel free to ask questions, and even stay for one of the demonstrations performed for visitors throughout the day.

The Heritage School of Woodworking began teaching classes in 1995 and since then has instructed over 4,000 students. Online classes and instructional DVD’s are also available for those interested in learning more.
